Hi, I’m Aubrey.

As a Nutritional Therapist and Restorative Wellness Practitioner I’m trained in functional nutrition and gastrointestinal healing to support the foundations of our health. I am extremely passionate about how nutrients inform and impact our physiology and processes in the body, women’s health, hormonal balance, the many ailments and dysfunction that can stem from poor GI health, and helping people feel their best! Ultimately, feeling good is our birthright and just because something is common doesn’t mean it’s normal. I believe that our bodies do not want to work against us but they get overburdened with nutrient deficiencies, toxins, parasites, heavy metals, and lifestyle stressors; then struggle to do their incredible and innate functions to regenerate and restore themselves. I take a whole body approach to wellness. This includes a bio-individual assessment of nutritional needs with lab testing, and looking for root causes so we can heal from the inside out.

So a little bit about my health journey that led me here! It started with lots of strep throat cases as a kid and when I got to college I had a tonsillectomy after numerous trips to the ER with my tonsils swollen beyond belief. At 22 I was diagnosed with stage 1 melanoma in a place that seldom saw the sun. I was told it was from genetics & sun exposure but looking back, I know this was just one of the ways my body was screaming at me. My cells were capable of housing cancer, but adjusting diet & lifestyle was still an eye roll to me at that age. Six years later chronic conditions and mystery symptoms crept in. I was experiencing everything from hormonal imbalances, chronic UTIs, sinus, and ear infections, anxiety and depression, low grade inflammation…so much that came and went!

I knew I had much to be grateful for, but at the same time none of this was normal and trying to get to the bottom of it with various doctors felt like a wild goose chase. I also began to realize that another antibiotic or prescription wasn’t getting to the root of anything but absolutely destroying my gut and prolonging my healing. I eventually followed a pull towards integrative and functional medicine doctors; those practicing holistic (whole body) approaches, understanding how the gut impacts our entire health (brain included) and focused on root causes instead of symptom suppression. I saw countless practitioners, and spent thousands of dollars throughout that process to learn that we have tremendous agency over changing our physical and mental health with food, nutrition, the right labs, and lifestyle adjustments. Healing years of built up dysfunction is not an overnight fix but you have to start somewhere. It’s with my own lived experience, extensive training, and holistic nutrition practice that I can’t wait to work together and see you beam with vitality!
